BOSMAN WEEKEND 15-17 OCTOBER 2010

Be sure not to miss out on this forthcoming Marico event, the Bosman weekend, now in it’s sixteenth year. It is endeavoured is to present this celebration as an intercalary event , outside the successive flow of time - a present linking past and future - in short, a piece of eternity tied up in gift wrapping for your delectation.

Bookings are now open for the Bosman Weekend in October in Groot Marico.

It will be noticed that the format remains similar to that of previous years, but an attempt has been made to bring about a renewal of content. Well known actor Eric Nobbs makes his debut as Oom Schalk Lourens and Angus Douglas acts in a new performance written by him and Tim Sandham.

This year the programme for the annual Bosman Weekend will be featuring an interesting variety of performances, lectures, workshops, an art exhibition and music. There will also be time to share at a leisurely pace, the company, the ambience of bush and fireplace - and excellent performances by well known artists included in the weekend package.

The show on Saturday night will feature David Butler in a totally revamped version of “Teacher in the Bushveld’ directed by Nicky Rebello. From the plains of the Karroo perennial favourite Antoinette Pienaar will grace this year’s Festival with her stories and songs and as usual local members of the Bosman Society will be in attendance (entertainment in its own right)

The entertainment is all based on the Bosman inspiration: the atmosphere and culinary fare promise to be authentic Marico bosveld.
