Howzit going with Lizzy (March 2009)…

Lizzy is no longer kept in her enclosure and has the freedom to walk around the camp. She still goes back to the camp occasionally to eat some of her corn but she prefers to be out eating the grass and plants that she can find. She has really grown and is starting to look like an adult duiker. The Daktari staff are hoping that soon she will be able to be released into the wild and find some other duikers to be friends with.

And just because this is just so cute, here is a picture of Chloe, a baby squirrel who was found to have fallen out of the thatch roof and into one of the rooms at Daktari. She is eating well, every few hours, and is starting to get some fur on her head and also on her tail…
